34 weeks - update on the last 6 weeks

34 weeks means we can now deliver at the Kaiser South Sac instead of Roseville (which has a higher level NICU)!  Roseville has a beautiful facility, but knowing we don't need the higher level NICU is very exciting.  I've been careful about listening to my body, especially in this crazy stretch of over 100 degree weather, and while I still get cramping every once in a while, nothing has been consistent enough to cause a problem.  Hooray!

The weeks since my last post have been very busy.  I finished school, had 2 baby showers, gave a bachelorette party, and, biggest of all, my sister got married.  The first shower was family and some family friends and was given by my sister and aunt.  (My mom helped, too).  It was great to be able to see everyone and we had a good time.

My sister uploaded our pictures into a website and it puts your features together to predict what the baby will look like.

A lot of my favorite foods :-)

Some of the decorated onesies and presents :-)

The other shower was friends from church and given by my mom and friend.  Once again, it was awesome.  Unfortunately, I didn't take any pictures, so I'll have to upload those from my mom's camera at some point.

For my sister's bachelorette party, a few of her friends went up to Tahoe for the weekend.  I won't post a lot of the pictures, but here's a few.  I was 31 weeks pregnant in these pictures.
We let Megan get nice and nervous :-)

Here's us before we left.  My shirt says "Matron of Honor" and then "Flower Girl" across the stomach. Specially made by Megan

The bar across from the sushi place gave Megan a free shooter.  Liz was very excited.

Sunset by the lake, you can really see how big my belly has gotten!

We hung out by the lake the next day and rented kayaks.

Ice cream!

When we got home Evan's car was just sitting there because he had ridden to the bachelor party with Stephen.  And we had car markers.  So...

Megan was innocent.

The next week was the wedding, which I don't have any pictures of either.  But it was beautiful, even though it was hot.  Only the ceremony was outside, so once we got to the reception everyone had a great time.  Everything went well as far as I can tell.  I did get handed a lot of glasses of water and lemonade.

As far as the pregnancy goes, I am definitely feeling more and more pregnant.  I walk slower (and probably waddle a little), I get up slowly, and get a really sore pubic bone if I stand too long.  With all the heat, my feet and hands have swelled more than normal, but I think my obsessive water drinking keeps it from being too bad.  Maternity clothes that once had lots of space are getting tighter, as are my shoes.  Cue the flip flops!

We're still working on a name, but I think we're getting closer.  And no, I'm not sharing what our options are because I don't want other people's opinions changing the name we choose.  The nursery is just about done, and I'll post pictures of it next time.  There's still a bunch of stuff (especially some of the big stuff, like a car seat and stroller) that we need to get.  But at this point, if we had had her tonight, we would be ok.  Although we would have to send someone to the store to get the car seat to take her home, but I know which one I want and how to get the best deal on it, so I could give very specific instructions.

It's hard to believe that we can finally say our due date is next month!  I will try to post more frequent updates (if there's anything to update) now that the wedding is done and I've got more time.
